Donuts

Donuts. Or doughnuts? Whatever. I shouldn't be asking how many of you love donuts! Everyone. I know. I mean most of you, right?

I know donuts don't appear in the healthy category. But having a couple of them with a high protein breakfast in the morning really helps your long term weight loss goals! Study suggests. So why compromise on donuts now?

But going to a cafe every morning for donuts is not possible. So why not try making it at home? I know it's tricky but once you're mastered it you're good to go.

Here's the recipe,

Preparation time- 15 minutes
Cooking time- 2 minutes each batch
Servings - 12 mini donuts

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp melted butter

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

Oil for frying

Chocolate spread for topping

Method

1. Take flour, baking powder, salt in a bowl and mix well.

2. Now in another bowl, break an egg, add sugar, milk and melted butter to it and whisk using a fork.

3. Add flour to it and mix well with a fork. Knead to a soft dough.

4. Take the dough on a rolling board and roll it out. Cut donut shape using a donut cutter or a cup and a small bottle cap. Take the scrap and roll it out again and repeat it until the entire batch of dough is used up.

5. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop donuts in and fry until they are golden on both sides.

6. Now once done, dip the donuts into the chocolate spread and serve!
